Mobile Internet grows in India, larger than US

A survey conducted by Google has revealed that Mobile Internet has grown in India and now 56% Indian Mobile Users access the Internet more than once a day. It also reveals many groundbreaking stats which i will list below with an infographic

  • 94% Smartphone users have used their devices to access the Internet
  • 56% access internet multiple times a day
  • 40% surf the net atleast once a day
  • 76% users access Social Networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn from their devices
  • 77% of smartphone owners listen to music, while 33 per cent use it for playing games and 32 per cent read newspapers or magazine.
  • 36 per cent of all smartphone owners in India are in 18-29 age group
  • only 17 per cent are in the 30 to 49 age group
